James Walker

James Walker is a Director in the Technology Services practice of Tenzing. James has over 20 years of experience as a specialist in business-led Information Technology and Systems Implementation. He has a range of Project Manager and Technical Delivery Manager experience in large-scale Application Development and ERP implementations covering management of Tenzing/BearingPoint staff, client staff and third party contractors/suppliers. James’s experiences cover a number of different industries, including Financial Services, Utility, Telecommunications and Public Sector.

James has considerable experience in software engineering, process review, systems integration, and in designing systems and integration of solutions. These skills have been applied in a range of industries and technical environments, in both customer facing and back office systems. James is used to working in project teams to ensure business benefits are achieved and design goals are met. He enjoys a consultative approach with team members, managers and end users.

James has worked in large software development and package software integration projects covering process design, configuration, interface design/specification, application development, interface development, report specification, report development, testing, code enhancements. He has extensive experience in the use of a wide range of methodologies including traditional SDLC, Agile and package software implementation methodologies.

James’s key strengths are his ability to communicate across all levels of staff coupled with a strong understanding of business processes, integration and software engineering technologies. He combines these strengths to get projects delivered to his client’s requirements within agreed timeframes and budgets, and to develop robust business solutions using the most effective mix of business processes and technologies.
